Welcome to my bloggy-blog where I chronicle the adventures of being a single mother with multiple disabilities trying to figure out how to live the Bohemian lifestyle on a budget. I decided a long time ago NOT to go on disability. While my body might not always work like I would like it to, I am a girl with a brain and I know how to use it.

I live in Southwestern, Colorado in a tiny little town called Nucla, (population 695.) Nucla is two hours from the nearest Safeway, Starbucks, or stoplight. It isn’t always easy to entertain yourself in a town with more cows than people, so mostly… I write.

Much of what I write has to do with abuse advocacy and healing. As a victim of childhood sexual abuse, domestic violence, and rape I struggled with a lot of issues that “normal” people don’t always recognize or understand. It took me many years to understand that I wasn’t the broken one, those who abused me were. Me, I’m just different.

And there is nothing wrong with that…

Here I chronicle the highs and lows of my life and dreams. To support myself through art, writing, and festival booth sales and living the life of a rubber tramp gypsy. On the road in an RV with “the ladies” (my dogs Wanna Be and Kali Ma.)

I believe that there is a better life out there for me… Join me and we will look for it together?
